Transitioning care from Dr. Peggy Rupp

If you are a current patient of Dr. Rupp's, no action is required if you would like to continue with the clinic.

Dr. Rupp has happily served the Boise community for 40 years, and in late 2025, will be (reluctantly) transitioning her practice to enjoy her retirement. We will transition your care to a new Rheumatologist at Boise Arthritis, and you are most welcome to continue coming into the clinic at your scheduled appointment time. We will miss Dr. Rupp, and she will miss the wonderful patients in our clinic, but we look forward to continuing to serve you at Boise Arthritis and Immunology!

Dr James Steier

James brings 22 years of experience treating rheumatology and autoimmune ailments, and is known for consistently going the extra mile for his patients. He completed his education at Dartmouth University and Georgetown Medical School, and trained at SUNY Hospital in New York, before beginning practice in New Mexico in 2004, and then starting practice in Utah and Idaho in 2025.
